Invoice automation in SAP® and Ariba: PolyOne group chooses ITESOFT to process its documents electronically around the world
ITESOFT, the worldwide leader in the process automation market with its electronic capture and automatic document processing solutions, announces a partnership with PolyOne. As part of its ongoing effort to optimize its financial processes on a worldwide level, PolyOne chose ITESOFT’s software solution to automate its supplier invoices.
PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL) is a global leader offering a comprehensive array of specialized polymer materials, tailored services and end-to-end solutions.
Motivated by issues such as productivity, traceability, and optimizing accounting operations management at a group-wide level, PolyOne chose the ITESOFT solution to electronically capture and automate some 90,000 supplier invoices for its North American and European subsidiaries. The ITESOFT platform interfaces with the group’s multi-provider information system based on Ariba e-procurement software and SAP® ERP.
Daniel Fargeaudou, International Finance Controller for PolyOne said of the group’s choice of the ITESOFT solution: “Key selection criteria for us included the high rate of automatic invoice recognition and ITESOFT’s ability to work with us on an international level, with adapted project methodology and multi-lingual support. We were looking for the most flexible solution possible, one that integrates with our different Ariba and SAP® information systems and that is able to adapt to our various accounting structures, both current and future. In that respect, the architecture of the ITESOFT offering, which supports Web-based invoice capture and approval from each decentralized site, gives us significant flexibility.”
Daniel Fargeaudou has already observed improvements after just a few months of using the solution: “We now benefit from guaranteed end-to-end traceability, as well as complete security and accessibility for financial data on a group-wide level. Automatic reading and integration of invoices in our information systems increases productivity, already enabling us to absorb increasing accounting activity without having to increase staff size, while refocusing team effort on tasks with high value added, such as dispute management and account analysis.”
Leveraging the success of these first results, Polyone is now preparing to deploy the solution in other countries, such as Hungary, Poland, Sweden, and more.
